CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month. There are tons of ways to get involved. For starters, join us at our 3rd Annual Community Engagement Luncheon featuring Dr. Vincent Felitti, co-principal investigator of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study. Thanks to generous support from Louisiana Bar Foundation, we are excited to offer a FREE child sexual abuse prevention workshop on April 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Baton Rouge. Our partners in this event include Baton Rouge Children's Advocacy Center, BREC, Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response, and YMCA of the Capital Area. Since 1986, Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Louisiana has been dedicated to accomplishing our mission: preventing the abuse and neglect of our state's children. From help with potty training to keeping kids safe from sexual abuse, PCA Louisiana supports parents and children through intensive, evidence-based programs and community-based education.
The local affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America, PCA Louisiana is the only statewide non-profit organization focused on child abuse prevention.
