Cox Teen Summit on Internet Safety and Grassroots Advocacy

The Summit will be a gathering of students from around the state who are interested in keeping themselves and their peers safe online, and who want to learn how to be effective advocates. Participants will learn about these topics and share personal experiences with each other.

John Walsh, host of the TV Show "America's Most Wanted" will provide the keynotes to address. Walsh is known for his anti-crime activism following the murder of his son, Adam, in 1981.

Please be advised that due to space limitations, only the first 100 students who register will be able to participate. There will also be a separate track for teachers who are interested in learning how to train their peer faculty members on internet safety practices.

We ask that students register by April 25th.

If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to call (225) 925-9520 ext: 203 or visit http://www.cox.com/batonrougecommunity for further details.
