Monroe "Night of the Child" offers Circus Under the Stars
Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Louisiana invites patrons to enjoy the "Cirque du l'Etoile," or "Circus of the Star," at their Annual Night of the Child Gala Saturday, November 12, 8 p.m. at the home of Jody and Bishop Johnston.
At the Patron Party, held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., guests will enjoy live music by The Mason Granade Band and a touch of whimsy to compliment the circus theme (hats, polka ties, red noses, etc.). The main event kicks off at 8 p.m. and features live music by The Neighborhood Stars, food by Thurman's Food Factory and beverages by Marsala Beverage and Coca-Cola.
Additionally, three exciting trips will be raffled off during the evening: Costa Rica; a seven night Caribbean cruise; and a LSU football package including overnight accommodations at the Lod and Carole Cook Hotel. Raffle tickets, $20 each, will be sold throughout the evening.
Tickets are $50 for Night of the Child and $100 per person for both the Patron Party and the main event. Tickets can be purchased by calling the PCA Louisiana office at (318) 327-5577.
Night of the Child is PCA Louisiana's premier fundraiser, assisting the organization in implementing child abuse prevention programs in the Northeast Region.
This year's statewide Night of the Child sponsors are Chase and the Louisiana Lottery. The Northeast Regional Sponsors are CenturyTel and Thurman's Food Factory.
