The twenty-third annual, state-wide Kids are Worth It! Conference is the only primary prevention oriented conference in the state. The next conference will be held in Baton Rouge March 4-6, 2009.  Efforts of the conference are directed toward social workers, child protection workers, law enforcement officials, day care workers, teachers and others who work with children desiring to learn the latest in child abuse and neglect prevention.

Champions for Children

The Champion for Children Award, given during the Kid's Are Worth It! Conference, is the highest honor Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana bestows upon individuals or organizations who have made a difference in the lives of children. The annual award is given in four categories: Policy/Professional, Corporate/Individual, Volunteer Service and Volunteer Leadership.
