Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana's Pinwheels for Prevention campaign created a statewide movement that went beyond merely making Louisianans aware of the issue of child abuse and neglect, but engaged people to act to prevent it from ever happening in the first place. Today, when people see a pinwheel, they think of happy children, fun, and play. Over time, when people see the pinwheel, we want them to also see a symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention, particularly through the early childhood development and community engagement frames.

Get Involved!
Corporations, organizations, churches, individuals and any other interested parties are encouraged to become a sponsor of a pinwheel garden planting or to collect donations for individual pinwheels. All proceeds will be going toward Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana’s mission of valuing children, engaging communities and strengthen families.
