The Pinwheels for Prevention campaign is a national movement which highlights the pinwheel as a symbol for child abuse prevention and neglect.

The pinwheel represents PCA Louisiana's efforts to change the way our state thinks about prevention, focusing on community activities and public policies that prioritize prevention right from the start to make sure child abuse and neglect never occur. It represents our efforts to ensure the healthy development of children nationwide, while recognizing that child development is a building black for community development and economic development.

Get Involved in the Campaign

Please help support our mission to ensure that our children are given every opportunity to have safe, healthy and nurtured childhoods by joining a Pinwheels for Prevention Committee in your area. Committees will spearhead the Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign throughout the state.

The Junior League of Baton Rouge awarded PCA Louisiana a grant in order to engage 10 East Baton Rouge Parish public schools in the Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign. Through their grant, 10 schools will receive 250 pinwheels to plant on their grounds. Interested schools should contact Loren Brown at 225-925-9520 or email loren@pcal.org.
