Pictured: Laura Poche - President, Junior League of Baton Rouge and Amanda Brunson - President/CEO of Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana. Recently, the Junior League of Baton Rouge awarded PCA Louisiana $2,500 to engage 10 public schools in East Baton Rouge Parish in the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign.
The Pinwheels for Prevention campaign is a national movement which highlights the pinwheel as a symbol for child abuse prevention and neglect. The pinwheel represents PCA Louisiana's efforts to change the way our state thinks about prevention, focusing on community activities and public policies that prioritize prevention right from the start to make sure child abuse and neglect never occur. It represents our efforts to ensure the healthy development of children nationwide, while recognizing that child development is a building black for community development and economic development.
