Nurturing Parenting Series - short workshops for parenting groups, corporations, neighborhood programs and churches to increase awareness about child abuse and neglect issues as well as parenting knowledge and skills. (Click for more information.)

Baby’s First Year Calendar – a new public awareness program designed to give all new parents in Louisiana important developmental and support information, as well as nurturing tips and a place to record milestones. Baby’s First Year Calendar will provide an immunization schedule for the first year.  The ultimate goal of this program is to empower parents/caretakers to be healthy and productive parents/caregivers.  Child abuse primary prevention programs like Baby’s First Year calendar are designed to help families avoid falling into the same negative patterns in which they were raised by educating them on what to expect. 

Internet Safety - launched in May 2007 in partnership with Cox Communications and the Louisiana Attorney General's office to provide a state-wide education initiative to keep children safe from predators on the internet. (Click for more information.)
