Safe Haven Law - Louisiana's Safe Haven Law allows a parent who wishes to anonymously give up an infant (unharmed and less that 30 days old) to leave the infant in the care of an employee of a designated emergency care facility. Facilities include any licensed Hospital, Public Health Unit, Emergency Medical Service Provider, Medical Clinic, Fire Station, Police Station, Pregnancy Crisis Center or Child Advocacy Center. The Louisiana Department of Social Services released this commercial to educate Louisianans about the state's Safe Haven law. (Click for more information.)
