Circle of Parents - a program than enables parents and caregivers to meet weekly to discuss successes and challenges of parenting. Parents are able to find and share support and build their own sense of competence and power by connecting with other parents who share common experiences. Circle of Parents groups are free of charge and foster an open exchange of ideas, support, information and resources. To volunteer or to find a group near you call our KIDLINE (1-800-CHILDREN). (Click for more information.)

Safe Haven Law - Louisiana's Safe Haven Law allows a parent who wishes to anonymously give up an infant (unharmed and less that 30 days old) to leave the infant in the care of an employee of a designated emergency care facility. Facilities include any licensed Hospital, Public Health Unit, Emergency Medical Service Provider, Medical Clinic, Fire Station, Police Station, Pregnancy Crisis Center or Child Advocacy Center. (Click for more information.)

For more information or to schedule a training, please call our KIDLINE
(1-800-CHILDREN) or email mallory@pcal.org.
